Evaluation of five lime trees - Tilia tomentosa
Observations made on site:
good general health & structural stability
the presence of some deadwood and broken branches;
poorly formed or intersecting branches in certain areas, located within the interior of the crown;
the natural lateral development of the crowns has caused interference with the roofs of adjacent buildings;
Proposed intervention
Considering the location of the trees, the proximity of buildings, and their general vegetative condition, structural pruning and lateral crown reduction were recommended in accordance with internationally recognized good arboricultural practices.
Executed works:
selective structural pruning to correct crown form and achieve a stable and balanced structure;
removal of dead, broken, or growth-defective branches in order to reduce the risk of accidental failure;
controlled reduction pruning of the lateral crown spread to prevent contact with the roofs and façades of surrounding buildings.
Works carried out by a qualified arborist, observing proper pruning principles (without drastic reductions) and without affecting the stability of the trees.
